Dick's horseradish project is one of reliving an old-fashioned adventure to the open-air market place of the 1930's. Dick remembered enjoying the aroma of grinding fresh horseradish in the market place of downtown Baltimore, Maryland, and wanted to bring back the traditional way of doing things.

The thought of bringing back old-fashioned customs has been a trend for a long time. Dick has been doing most of the cooking in his own home for several years and enjoyed the flavor of good quality, fresh-ground horseradish. He contacted the University of Missouri County Extension Office and they went to work for him by contacting experts in the field for their advice.

Dick has been grinding his own horseradish roots for several years. Bottling and selling it in Su's candle and craft store, Candlelight Creations in Weaubleau, Missouri.
